Following the introduction of new water quality regulations from the Vietnamese government, water treatment companies throughout Vietnam are now seeking water monitoring equipment to enable them to meet these requirements. The Vietnamese Government’s drive to improve drinking water quality and clean up industrial waste effluent presents a fantastic opportunity for water treatment manufacturers to provide equipment to help the government meet their aims, and create a better environment for the people of Vietnam.

Pi’s Julius Guth visits Vietnam

Pi’s head office contact for Asia, Julius Guth, travelled to Vietnam to meet with several companies who have shown great interest in Pi’s products. Julius spent time with water treatment companies across Vietnam, travelling from the capital city Hanoi, to the beach city of Da Nang and finally to Vietnam’s main business centre of Ho Chi Minh. This provided a real insight into the key relationships between water treatment companies and the Government. All of the companies Julius visited showed a strong desire to work with Pi. Two companies were identified to act as official distributors of Pi’s products in Vietnam. Lappro Automation (with co-operation from Senco and Saigontec) will distribute Pi’s products for clean water applications, particularly focusing on:

• The HaloSense Chlorine Analyzer and
• The TurbSense^® Turbidity Monitor in drinking water.

  Deahan (part of the Seiki Group) will distribute Pi’s products for wastewater applications, particularly focusing on:

• The pHSense pH Meter,
• The SoliSense^® Suspended Solids Monitor and
• The UV254Sense UV254 Analyzer to measure COD in industrial effluent water.

  The trip wasn’t all work though, Julius was able to take in some Vietnamese culture as he visited a fire-breathing bridge, the ancient town of Hoi An, the eye-opening War Remnants museum and even had a ride down the river in a traditional Vietnamese coconut boat. When commenting about his trip, Julius said:

“It was an amazing experience to visit such a lively and vibrant country that never seems to sleep! I look forward to partnering with both Senco and Deahan and I will ensure that the other companies I visited in Vietnam have the opportunity to work with Pi through these distributors.”
